Rei
Description
Bow / Salutation. The formal bow used in Judo and Jujitsu to show respect. Rei is performed at the beginning and end of training, when entering and leaving the mat, and between partners before and after practice. There are two main forms: Ritsu rei (standing bow) and Za rei (kneeling bow).
